Michael Stafford, I love how you referenced Mathew 22:30 because it’s all in the Spirit.
And it is written that if you preach any other gospel than that of what we’ve received from Heavenly Father through his apostles is not only accursed but the least in the kingdom.
Joseph Smith did preach another gospel, disregarding the Apostles with his personal visions. Which is mentioned & pre-warned in the Gospel, written especially in the Corinthians.
The Keys to the Kingdom were conferred to the Apostle Peter and not Paul.
I don’t hate Joseph Smith for being anti-Christian and going astray from Christianity.
I do see how many are tempted to follow a counterfeit Jesus for many reasons… especially in Central America, where there is a lot of poverty and uneducated people.
I mean, if the Mormon Religion does you good and helps you become a better person (not cocky or a narcissist), more power to you, but don’t force it down anyone’s throat just because you think your religion is true or perfect. Mormonism is not made for everyone, although everyone is welcome to investigate.
But at the end of the day, Joseph Smith raised another faith discrediting God by calling him a lier for not trusting and believing in God’s promise of The Holy Ghost to fulfill through the power of the Risen Christ until the day of His (REDEMPTION as KING) HIS Return which is know that no one knows the time nor the hour not even the Son only the Father. And nor does Joseph Smith believe in the spiritual power of the Holy Spirit to guide him to all truth as the third personage in the Holy Trinity that makes all things new in man without the need of signs and wonders, but all is done by the Spirit.
The Book of Mormon is simply a spin-off of the original Holy Bible. Mormons are adamant about wanting to replace the Original Gospel of the Son of man and Son of God with their Book of Mormon. It’s plain simple to see.
In my personal life, I don’t need the Book of Mormon; the Holy Bible is enough to establish grace in my heart. However, I suppose some other people, who follow Joseph Smith’s teachings, do have a need to justify their need for the Book of Mormon.
Like Jesus says in RED LETTERS: REPENT, GO, and SIN NO MORE. Very simple. No need to bash people and their beliefs, nor the need for anyone to go or send to hell.
At the end of the day, in a world where you can be anything, we are exhorted to be the light of the world, practicing the golden rule; however, everyone is free to worship God as they please, and everyone is free to treat their fellow members as they wish to be treated. Free country. 🇺🇸
Blessings to all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. No debate is made here, just a valid acknowledgment of differences of opinion and differences in belief, in all fairness.
I myself don’t like nor appreciate being discredited for my own faith and good works. Therefore, to whom much is given, much is expected.
God bless
